Our Approach

We have a set of three principles guiding our work.

1. Look beyond the obvious functional and performance specs

LoginSoft believes that business objectives must drive the entire development process, start to finish. We look beyond the technical aspects to grasp the people and process issues girding the project. We assign a seasoned project manager and senior business analyst(s) to quickly.

- develop a clear scope of the business problem
- identify key business drivers and their related objectives
- develop a vision for the optimal solution
- establish metrics for measuring success of the project

At the same time, LoginSoft takes a bottoms-up approach. Much effort is focused on the end user-- understanding their issues and needs, building a sense of ownership, and reducing their concerns.

Our analysts are skilled at moving through this initial definitional phase very quickly. You'll be impressed how quickly we "get it". We aim to minimize the disruption of work that can accompany development projects and won't overwhelm your team with people.

2. Develop the solution iteratively, show continuous progress

Traditional software development methodologies organize in a strict serial fashion. Typically, projects lumber from one phase to the next, making it progressively more difficult (and expensive) to accommodate any changes.

The LoginSoft approach uses an iterative lifecycle methodology. We incorporate object-oriented, rapid prototype development with staged delivery. We feel this not only creates superior solutions, but minimizes project risk as well.

Our goal is to deliver demonstrable results early in the project lifecycle. Project plans allow for vigorous feedback between developers and business users. Refinements and changes are made with each iteration so the design is continually validated throughout the development process. Risky areas and high priority features are addressed first. Requirements are continually refined as the code evolves, cutting down the chance for unpleasant surprises just before delivery date. Feeling better already?

3. Design for the lowest total cost of ownership

Meeting the functional and performance specs is a given. LoginSoft's approach is to go beyond this and ensure projects deliver maximum return on investment, with shorter cycles, and lowest overall cost of ownership.

We draw on broad industry knowledge to identify innovative, cost-effective technology that incorporates commercially available software and LoginSoft's extensive library of proven, reusable component technology. As an ISO 9001 certified software developer, our standards for quality are rigorous. To develop quality designs and architecture, we use industry-standard software development techniques including Use Cases, IEEE System Requirements Specification (SRS) and Unified Modeling Language (UML).
